why we didn't build an open marketplace

anyone can list anything on most marketplaces. we built the opposite, on purpose.

most marketplaces for small software let anyone list anything. upload a screenshot, write a price, go live. nothing about the code, the usage, or the seller gets checked before a buyer can pay.

we built the opposite. every listing goes through the same five checks by hand before it's visible to a single buyer. that's slower, and it means fewer listings, on purpose.

this is a small, curated space by design. that's not a limitation, it's the only way the bar stays real.

no ads, no paid placement, no minimum revenue to list — visibility here is earned by clearing the bar, not bought.
